Ukrainian Solar Power Plant Partially Resumed After Missile Attack

Last week, Russian missiles hit a 3.9 MW solar power plant, damaging 416 solar panels and four string inverters.
A 3.9 MW solar power plant in Ukraine's Kharkiv region was damaged in a Russian missile attack and partially resumed operations on May 28.
"Our employees have disconnected the damaged strings and are now supplying 1.8 MW of green and clean electricity to the grid," said Stanislav Ignatiev, CEO of the facility's owner, Solar Generation.
The Melefa solar power plant, located 30 kilometers south of Kharkov, is the largest industrial solar power plant in the region. It supplies electricity to Melefa, a suburb of Kharkiv city.
“This project is an example of distributed generation, designed to provide energy to a small town,” said Ignatiev, noting that it uses 325 watts of Talesun PV modules and 27 kW of Fronius ECO 27.0-3-S string inverters transformer.
The missile attack damaged 416 solar panels and four inverters.
"This type of damage is usually caused by rockets that hit a Ukrainian solar power plant," Ignatiev said. It should be noted that the plant was built in a swamp with anchor screws, so the support structure of the plant was partially damaged by the missile attack. ."
