South Korean Silicon Giant OCI Acquires Centralized PV Inverter Business


According to foreign media reports, South Korea's OCI Power officially acquired KACO's subsidiary in South Korea, and the contract was signed in Seoul on January 15.
Through this acquisition, OCI Power acquired the technology and manufacturing of centralized inverters established by KACO in Korea.

KACO will continue to focus on the development and solutions of products in the field of string inverters and energy storage in its German plant.

In addition, OCI and KACO also agreed to maintain close strategic cooperation on global projects and the string inverter business in Korea and Japan.

OCI Power is also the parent company of Texas Solar, a manufacturer of photovoltaic modules in Texas. Through this acquisition of KACO's Korean subsidiary, OCI is expected to achieve synergies in the industry and strengthen its presence in the Korean domestic PV market.
