Mar 21, 2022
US solar and energy storage developer Origis Energy has ordered 400 MW of PV modules from Maxeon solar Technologies Ltd for its utility solar projects in the US.
The Singapore-based solar cell and solar panel maker announced the deal on Thursday (March 17). It will see the manufacturer offer high-efficiency shingle bifacial solar modules from its recently expanded performance range.
Maxeon expects to start supplying equipment in June 2023, with shipments expected by the end of the same year. The names and locations of specific projects where Origis Energy will deploy Maxeon technology were not provided.
Earlier this week, Maxeon Solar posted another U.S. order for shingle bifacial solar modules from Cypress Creek Renewables. Solar generators will install up to 315 MW of modules in projects executed in Washington and Texas.
