Ambassador Chen Hai Attends Signing Ceremony Of China-Myanmar Joint Photovoltaic Power Plant Project

On November 7, the signing ceremony of the power purchase agreement for the three PV power plant projects of Jingrong, Jingda, and Zototaya, which are cooperated by CECC Overseas Investment Company and the Ministry of Electricity of Myanmar, was held in Nay Pyi Taw.
Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Chen Hai, Myanmar Electricity Minister Nyan Tun, and the General Manager of the project company Jiang Xingcheng attended the ceremony.

In their speeches at the ceremony, Ambassador Chen Hai and Minister Nyan Tun commented positively on the progress of the relevant photovoltaic cooperation projects. They expressed their stance on continuing to promote China-Myanmar power cooperation to serve the development of the two countries and bring more benefits to the people of Myanmar.
Ambassador Chen also met with Minister Nyan Tun and exchanged views on the implementation of the consensus outcomes of the Third "Belt and Road" International Cooperation Summit Forum, the promotion of China-Myanmar power interconnection and interconnectivity, helping Myanmar to alleviate the "power shortage", and providing guarantee for the construction of China-Myanmar Economic Corridor.

The three PV projects are located in Magwe and Mandalay divisions in Myanmar, with a total installed capacity of 90 MW, and will provide for local development.
