Renshuo Solar sets world record for efficiency of all-calcium titanite stacked cells

Recently, the world record of 24.50% steady-state efficiency of the all-calcium titanite stacked cell module developed by the team of Renshuo Solar was once again set by itself, as certified by the JET authority in Japan!

Ltd. was founded by Professor Tan Hairen of Nanjing University, focusing on the research, development and manufacturing of large-area calcium-titanium ore stacked cells. Up to now, Renshuo Solar has set five world records for stacked cell efficiency, including the latest certified efficiency of 28.0% for small area all-calcitite stacked cells, which is far ahead of similar products in the industry. 2021, Renshuo Solar has achieved the world's first all-calcitite stacked cell module with an industrializable preparation technology and set a world record efficiency of 21.7%; 2022. The team continued its research and once again set a world record for module efficiency, achieving a steady-state efficiency of 24.5% (area 20.25 cm2), far exceeding that of chalcogenide single-junction modules.

As a next-generation photovoltaic technology, Chalcogenide stacked layers have significant technical advantages in terms of efficiency improvement! Compared to single-junction chalcogenide cells, all-chalcogenide stacked cells can achieve a significant increase in efficiency, up to 45% theoretical efficiency, by regulating the absorption of different bandgap chalcogenide materials in the spectrum, while maintaining a sustained advantage in preparation costs. Compared to the theoretical efficiency, there is still huge room for development in the efficiency of current laminated modules.

With the joining of the top domestic PV company executives, Inshu Solar will continue to focus on product and process research and development, and make every effort to rapidly promote the development and industrialization of chalcogenide laminated technology. At present, the company has signed an industrial landing agreement with Changshu Economic Development Zone and will complete the construction of a 150MW mass production line by the third quarter of 2023.
