WANHOS standing seam solar clamps are designed to connect a compatible metal roof seam to a rail adapter, L-foot or approved direct module attachment. A correctly selected clamp uses model-specific set screws to grip the seam without drilling a hole through the roofing sheet.
Standing seam profiles are not standardized. Flat-folded, bulb, round, single-fold, double-fold and concealed-fix seams can differ in geometry, sheet material and structural capacity. Clamp selection must therefore be based on the exact roof profile and confirmed project data-not on roof appearance alone.

Important Selection Rule
One Clamp Does Not Fit Every Metal Roof
"Standing seam" describes a roof family, not a single standard profile. The seam width, height, fold, bulb shape, metal thickness and concealed clip system can all change the required clamp and its allowable load.
These clamps are not a substitute for penetrative L-feet or profile brackets on corrugated, trapezoidal or exposed-fastener metal roofs. Send the actual roof profile before ordering.

A Practical Six-Step Installation Workflow
1. Identify the Roof
Confirm roof manufacturer, panel model, seam cross-section, material, thickness, coating, seam spacing and concealed clip system.
2. Complete Engineering
Calculate project loads and roof zones. Check the roof panel, seam clips, supporting structure and clamp connection as one load path.
3. Approve the Clamp
Match the exact clamp drawing to the seam. Confirm top connection, set-screw type, test data, layout and installation instructions.
4. Position Correctly
Place clamps only in approved zones. Do not obstruct the roof's designed thermal movement or interfere with concealed clips and joints.
5. Tighten and Inspect
Use a calibrated torque tool and the exact model torque. Follow the tightening sequence, then mark and record inspected connections.
6. Complete the PV Assembly

Roof Protection & Warranty
Non-Penetrating Does Not Mean Risk-Free
A compatible clamp installed at the approved torque is intended to grip the seam without puncturing the roof sheet. An incorrect body shape, misplaced clamp or excessive torque can deform the seam, damage its coating or reduce connection performance.
Roof warranty retention is not automatic. Obtain confirmation from the roof-system manufacturer or warranty provider before installation, especially for new or warranted roofs. The complete PV layout must also respect drainage paths, maintenance access and the roof system's thermal movement.
Material compatibility must be reviewed where aluminum and stainless steel hardware interface with coated steel, aluminum, zinc or copper roofing, particularly in coastal, industrial or other corrosive environments.
