This technology utilizes PN junction structures formed on both sides of the cell to absorb direct sunlight and reflected light (e.g., from the ground, water surfaces, or other surroundings), thereby increasing overall power generation efficiency.

Technical Features
Bifacial panels typically feature a dual-sided electrode design. The front side incorporates an anti-reflective coating to enhance direct light absorption, while the back side employs screen-printing technology to form a back surface field layer. For instance, the CIGS thin-film bifacial cell developed by Switzerland's Empa Lab has achieved a total efficiency of over 30%. The application of carbon nanotube electrode technology has also reduced manufacturing costs by approximately 70%.
Installation Scenarios
Bifacial modules are suitable for various installation methods, including vertical mounting (e.g., in desert areas), floating solar systems (improving reflectivity and optimizing heat dissipation), and building-integrated installations (such as rooftops and noise barriers).
