Turkey Initiates The First Anti-dumping Sunset Review Investigation On Chinese PV Modules

On March 26, 2022, the Turkish Ministry of Trade issued Announcement No. 2022/10 to initiate the first anti-dumping sunset review of photovoltaic modules (bir modül halinde birleştirilmiş veya panolarda düzenlenmiş fotovoltaik hücreler) originating in China at the request of Turkish manufacturers File an investigation. The products involved include photovoltaic cell modules and solar panels, involving products under the Turkish tax code 8541.43.00.00.00. The announcement takes effect from the date of publication.
Stakeholders should submit questionnaires and case comments within 37 days from the date of the announcement.

On July 1, 2016, Turkey launched an anti-dumping investigation on photovoltaic modules originating in China. On April 1, 2017, the former Ministry of Economy of Turkey made an affirmative final ruling on the case, and decided to impose an anti-dumping duty of USD 20/m2 to USD 25/m2 on the products involved (see Announcement No. 2017/6), valid for five years.
