Soltec To Supply Trackers For 238 MW Solar Power Plant in Chile

Spanish group Soltec Power Holdings SA (BME:SOL) said today that it has signed a contract with AES Andes SA to supply trackers for a 238 MW solar project in Chile.

Soltec will ship 5,227 single-axis SF7 solar trackers to customers for two photovoltaic (PV) projects. These photovoltaic power plants will be equipped with 4,367 piles and 439,068 modules.

By producing enough clean electricity to meet the needs of 77,290 homes, the solar park will be able to offset 491,178 metric tons of carbon dioxide (CO2).

The company noted that Soltec currently supplies and installs more than 2 GW of trackers in Chile.
