Mali Launches Three Solar Power Plant Construction Projects

It was reported on June 2 that on June 1, President Goita attended the launch of the construction of Mali's third solar power plant. The plant, built by the UAE's AMEA Power, is located in the southwestern town of Tiakadougou Dialakoro, covers an area of 120 hectares, has a capacity of 100 megawatts, and will create about 200 jobs per year. Goita said that the plant, together with those of Sanankoroba and Safo, are the first solar power plants built in Mali, with a total capacity of 400 MW, which will help the country to gradually emerge from the energy crisis and promote socio-economic development.
