Leading Danish Developer And Operator Of Wind, Solar And Hybrid Energy Projects Develops Wind Power Projects in Romania

March 6 - Eurowind Energy Romania, a leading developer in the renewable energy sector, has been active in Romania since 2011. The company is currently developing a large-scale wind power project in Botoşani County, Romania.

The project, which is in the preliminary planning stage, aims to realise an installed capacity of approximately 1,200 MW and is expected to make Romania a significant exporter of renewable energy in the region. Total investment in the wind farm complex is expected to exceed EUR1 billion.Eurowind Energy Romania has now completed key pre-project tasks, including securing land use rights, submitting an application for grid access, and obtaining preliminary town planning permission. The project plans to build nine wind farms in nine communes in the northern part of Botoşani County in phases, with the entire project expected to be completed by around 2031. This will not only significantly boost Romania's renewable energy capacity, but will also help the country become a major energy exporter in the region.
