Italy - Europe's most stable photovoltaic market

As one of the important photovoltaic markets in Europe, Italy has a stable demand for photovoltaic power. According to data released by the Italian power grid company, the cumulative installed capacity of photovoltaics in Italy has reached 19.862GW, compared with 19.68GW in 2017, adding 182MW of installed capacity. According to analysis, the growth trend of the Italian PV market has basically stabilized in the past three years, roughly 30MW per month, and the total new amount in 2018 is expected to be 300-360MW.

Italy plans to phase out coal and electricity by 2025 and vigorously develop renewable energy

According to the framework document drafted by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development and Environment, Italy plans to increase the share of renewable energy in total energy consumption to 28% by 2030. Among them, the proportion of renewable energy in the field of power generation will increase to 55%; the proportion of renewable energy in the transportation sector will increase to 21%.

At the same time, Italy plans to double its investment in clean energy research and development in 2021, from $258 million in 2013 to $517 million.

Italy developed "Sunflower" electric car solar charger

According to foreign media reports, Italy's Ilenia Zambelli and Fabrizio Marcoccia designed and built a solar charger prototype for electric vehicles and exhibited it at the Maker Faire in Rome. Use this solar charger to charge your electric car for free at any time.

According to the survey of the 2018 Electric Vehicle Outlook Report, it is estimated that by 2025, the global renewable energy market will have a market value of 2.125903 trillion US dollars. During the forecast period, in terms of revenue, it is expected that only the solar market will grow at a compound annual growth rate of up to 13.4%. In addition, the sustainable development of smart cities is also supported by solar energy.

Household and industrial and commercial photovoltaics are a huge driving force for the development of Italian solar energy

According to Anie, residential PV installations of up to 20 kW are still the mainstay of the Italian solar sector, with a new installed capacity of approximately 67.7 MW. At the same time, photovoltaic systems with a power range of 20 kW to 10 kW total 46.2 MW. Overall, as of the end of April 2018, the cumulative installed capacity of photovoltaics in Italy has reached 19.7 GW.

At the same time, Terna reported that Italy's solar power generation reached 2,428 GWh in April, meeting 10% of Italy's electricity demand. In the first four months of this year, the total photovoltaic power generation was 89,430 GWh, which is enough to meet the total demand of 5.8%.
