The Guinean Ministry of Energy issued a press release on September 30, and the International Solar Energy Alliance delegation began a few visits on September 22. The delegation held talks with the Guinean Foreign Minister and Finance Minister. On September 27th, the International Solar Energy Alliance delegation held a working meeting with the Guinean Energy Minister Syrah.
During the talks, Minister Shiraz said that Guinea has abundant solar energy resources, and the next step is to vigorously develop solar energy and wind power.
To this end, with the support of the International Solar Energy Alliance, several parties decided to launch the following three manufacturing projects as soon as possible:
Building a factory for assembling photovoltaic panels in Guinea
Construction of a solar and wind power generation parts production plant in Guinea
Construction of a well drilling equipment and accessories production plant in Guinea
Minister Shiraz said that several parties have received $20 million in financing to install solar power installations for three universities and several national hospitals. Guinea has taken the initiative to use solar energy as a clean green energy source, and will further develop solar energy in the future.
