EU Relaunches European PV Technology And Innovation Platform
Sep 29, 2022
With the 8th World Congress on Photovoltaic Energy Conversion taking place in Milan, Italy, the European Technology and Innovation Platform for Photovoltaics (ETIP PV) is committed to supporting the important role that the PV industry plays in the EU's Strategic Energy Technology Programme (SET) programme.
Following the publication of the European Commission's landmark EU PV strategy, the European Technology and Innovation Platform for Photovoltaics (ETIP PV) has been updated to support policy makers through the technical design and implementation of a decade of European PV regulations. The platform advises on the competitiveness, digitalisation, industrialisation, lifecycle quality and integration technologies of PV systems through a permanent steering committee and dedicated working groups composed of industry and academic experts.
The European Technology and Innovation Platform for Photovoltaics (ETIP PV) acts as a reference point for EU and Member State policy makers on innovation in the field of PV, working with national and regional EU PV platforms and trade associations to promote the effective adoption of PV technologies. At the same time, the platform builds relationships with organisations with similar motivations, such as the European Energy Research Alliance and other ETIP projects.
The platform is funded by the EU under the Horizon Europe programme and is operated by the SolarPower Europe secretariat in Brussels, Belgium, and WIP Renewable Energies in Munich, Germany.
The President and two Vice-Presidents of the European Technology and Innovation Platform for Photovoltaics (ETIP PV) will be elected at the next Steering Committee meeting in Brussels on 10 October 2022.
The European Technology and Innovation Platform for Photovoltaics (ETIP PV) is also an exhibitor at the WIP stand (stand A7) at the 8th World Congress on Photovoltaic Energy Conversion, which will take place from 26 to 30 September 2022 at the Milan Congress Centre in Milan, Italy.
