China's New Photovoltaic Installed 54GW From January To September This Year

According to the national electricity industry statistics released by the Chinese Energy Bureau from January to September, the first three quarters of this year, the new installed capacity of photovoltaic power generation is 54GW. this figure has basically tied last year's annual new photovoltaic installation - 54.88GW this figure. In addition, the first three quarters of this year, wind power installed about 22GW.
The National Energy Administration released national electricity industry statistics for January to September. By the end of September, the country's cumulative installed power generation capacity of about 2.48 billion kilowatts, an increase of 8.1%. Among them, the installed capacity of wind power is about 350 million kilowatts, up 16.9% year-on-year; the installed capacity of solar power is about 360 million kilowatts, up 28.8% year-on-year.
In addition, according to the National Energy Administration's briefing earlier this year, in 2021, the country's total installed capacity of renewable energy power generation will be 1.063 billion kilowatts, an increase of about 13.8% year-on-year, accounting for 44.8% of all electricity installed; of which, 391 million kilowatts of hydropower (36 million kilowatts of pumped storage), 328 million kilowatts of wind power, 306 million kilowatts of photovoltaic power generation, and Biomass power generation installed 37.98 million kilowatts.
The total installed capacity of photovoltaic power generation in China grew from 306GW at the end of last year to 360GW at the end of September this year, which is equivalent to 54GW of new installed capacity of photovoltaic power generation in the first three quarters of this year. similarly, the total installed capacity of wind power in China grew from 328GW at the end of last year to 350GW at the end of September this year, which is about 22GW of new installed capacity of wind power.
In the third quarter of this year, China's photovoltaic installed capacity grew by how much? July 29, the National Energy Board released the "first half of 2022 photovoltaic power generation construction operation", the first half of 2022 photovoltaic power plants added a total grid-connected capacity of 30.878GW, of which 8.914GW of household capacity, industrial and commercial capacity of 10.739GW, centralized capacity of 11.225GW. September 21, the National Energy Board announced that from January to August this year, photovoltaic added 44.47GW, investment increased by more than 3.2 times year-on-year. This calculates, China's new PV installation in September about 9.23GW, accounting for 40% of the entire third quarter.
Although these calculations are not precise enough, but reflects the overall trend. That is, whether it's PV installations in the third quarter, or PV installations in September, these figures show that China's PV installations are accelerating in the second half of this year.
