Central Asian Country Tajikistan Starts Planning 460MW PV Plant Project
Jul 19, 2022
Recently, Daler Juma, Tajikistan's Minister of Energy and Water Resources, publicly stated that Tajikistan is currently working on the development of a photovoltaic power plant project.

Speaking at the 60th meeting of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Committee on Electricity in Nur Sultan on 14 July 2022, Daler Juma noted that Tajikistan will continue to take all possible measures to increase the production of green energy.
"Tajikistan will continue its efforts to increase the production of clean energy, reduce CO2 emissions and achieve national targets, and is developing a package of several photovoltaic projects with a total capacity of 460MW with the support of external support forces."
This follows Juma's announcement at the Energy Forum in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on 23-24 June 2022 that Tajikistan plans to increase its 'green' electricity exports to other countries in the Central Asian region.
