According to foreign media reports. Grenzebach Envelon GmbH, a German manufacturer of building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) modules, has opened and operated a BIPV PV module production plant in Bavaria, Germany, with an annual capacity of up to 300,000 square metres.
Its parent company, Grenzebach Group, has extensive experience in the production of photovoltaic modules and expertise in glass production technology.

Hans-Peter Merklein, Managing Director of Grenzebach Envelon GmbH, says: "We believe that the market for BIPV photovoltaic modules has great potential for growth and are counting on the organic growth of the Bavarian market."
Envelon's BIPV PV modules consist of two parts: a base containing the mounting system and wiring, and a glass part with integrated PV modules. and attached to the back of the PV module.
A spokesperson for the company said that the modules can meet all the architectural and technical requirements in terms of electrical safety. The individual elements are mounted in a substructure of the BIPV PV module, which allows for rapid deployment and also allows for easy maintenance and replacement of the PV modules. In addition, the PV modules are available in up to 10 different colours.
The company claims that the glazing of the PV modules uses the company's patent-pending colour technology with invisible PV cells, which also meets the aesthetic and architectural requirements of the glass facade and whose products can be used directly in the building.
