Australia: 10GW Project Tender To Be Launched

On 21 October, Australian Energy Minister Chris Bowen revealed that the federal government is in the process of launching the next round of Capital Investment Scheme (CIS) tenders that will include 10GW of storage, wind and solar PV capacity.

The next round of tendering will take place over the next few months, with the winning projects to be delivered by 2029. This is an increase from the previous first national tender of 6GW. A total of 4GW of bids were registered in this round, with 2.7GW of 'high quality' bids progressing to the next stage.
