698MW Installed Solar Power In Sweden
Apr 01, 2020
According to statistics released by the Swedish energy agency Energimyndigheten, Swedish photovoltaic installations increased from 411 MW at the end of 2018 to 698 MW in 2019.
The figures show that 2019 is the best year for Swedish photovoltaic power generation, with photovoltaic grid-connected power generation reaching 287 MW. After connecting 91MW, 13MW, 37.6MW and 36.2MW respectively in the first four years, in 2018, Swedish residential and The installed capacity of commercial solar power generation reaches 180MW.
Sweden currently has about 44,000 photovoltaic arrays, an increase of about 19,000 last year. The agency said that the vast majority of photovoltaic installed capacity does not exceed 20 kilowatts, and projects with a capacity exceeding 1 megawatt are relatively rare.
Last September, the Swedish government raised the budget for residential and commercial solar rebates in 2019 from SEK 736 million to SEK 1.2 billion. As the price of solar modules continues to fall, and the initial 2019 tax refund budget has increased by SEK 915 million, if Sweden can control Covid-19, then 2020 will be a record year for Swedish solar energy.
