Jiangyin Port Group has built distributed wind power generation systems, wind-solar hybrid power supply systems, photovoltaic power generation systems and other projects in the port area. At the same time, it has built supporting electric vehicle charging piles and natural gas filling station facilities, making full use of wind energy, solar energy and other renewable energy sources. and clean energy such as natural gas.

In the total electricity consumption of the port, the distributed wind power generation system contributes the most, accounting for 54% of the total electricity consumption of the group company, which greatly promotes the self-sufficiency of the port's electricity consumption.

It is reported that all the electricity used in the port area came from the mains, but now it has been adjusted to be based on clean energy, supplemented by mains. In 2021, the total carbon emission reduction in the port area will be 26,035.1 tons. From 2022 to now, the use of wind power will reduce about 3,284.5 tons, the use of photovoltaic power generation will reduce emissions by 32.3 tons, the use of shore power will reduce emissions by 18.6 tons, and the use of LNG (liquefied petroleum natural gas) will reduce emissions. A total of 25.3 tons of emission reduction, a total of 3360.7 tons of emission reduction.

Transportation is one of the three key areas of energy conservation and emission reduction in my country. The port has carried out the construction of "near-zero carbon port". After the investment, the effect of double reduction and double increase is obvious, that is, the energy consumption per 10,000 yuan of output value and the energy consumption per 10,000 tons of throughput have been greatly reduced. The energy consumption for loading and unloading 10,000 tons of throughput has dropped by 30%, saving 37,000 tons of standard coal, and reducing carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases by 73,000 tons.
