First standard for crystalline silicon PV tiles in the PV building integration industry published

Oct 10, 2022

Ltd, a subsidiary of Yingli Group, has taken the lead in compiling the group standard "Crystalline Silicon Photovoltaic Roofing Tile for Buildings". The standard fills a gap in the development of standards for crystalline silicon PV roof tiles in China's Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) industry and will be implemented on December 1.

Crystalline silicon photovoltaic roofing tiles are crystalline silicon solar cell encapsulation molding, or with other substrates effectively combined with the power generation function of the tile, is the market existing distributed solar energy products and traditional roof tile upgrade products, has a broader market prospects, its large-scale promotion and application will be on energy replacement, reduce emissions, environmental protection, building energy-saving industrialization to produce a positive role in promoting.

"This released group standard specifies the scope, terms and definitions, classification, materials, requirements, test methods and inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of crystalline silicon photovoltaic roof tiles for construction." Zhang Yifei, General Manager of Yingli Jiasheng, said that the standard provides a theoretical basis for promoting the application of PV tiles in the field of building roofs, and is of great importance in further standardizing the overall performance of PV tiles, which will promote the development and promotion of BIPV curved tiles.

Since its establishment in 2007, Yingli Jiasheng has invested nearly RMB 1 billion in research and development, launched 12 generations of BIPV products, applied for a total of 313 patents, edited and participated in 17 standards, and obtained the industry's first Green Building Material Certificate and the "double certification" of TUV Rheinland PV and CTC Building Materials.
