8 types of solar support commonly used in photovoltaic projects

The reasonable form of solar support can improve the wind and snow resistance of the system, and rationally apply the characteristics of the solar support system in terms of load bearing, and can further optimize its dimensional parameters, save materials, and contribute to further reduce the cost of the solar system.

The load on the base of the PV module is mainly: the self-weight (constant load), wind load, snow load, temperature load and seismic load of the support and PV modules. The main control function is the wind load. Therefore, the foundation design should ensure the stability of the foundation under the wind load. Under the wind load, the foundation may have the phenomenon of uplifting, fracture, etc., and the foundation design should ensure the force at this. There is no damage under it.

Below we will find out what types of ground solar support bases and flat roof solar support foundations are and what they have.

Ground solar support foundation

NO.1 bored pile foundation:

Pore is more convenient, can adjust the top surface elevation according to the terrain, the top mark is easy to control, the amount of concrete reinforcement is small, the amount of excavation is small, the construction is fast The damage to the original vegetation is small. However, there are concrete holes and pouring in the field, which are suitable for general filling, cohesive soil, silt, sand and the like.

NO.2 Steel Spiral Foundation:

Convenient to the hole, the top elevation can be adjusted according to the terrain, not affected by the groundwater, under normal winter weather conditions, construction is fast, the elevation is flexible, and the damage to the natural environment is very Small, there is no filling and excavation project, the damage to the original vegetation is small, and no field level is required. Applicable to deserts, grasslands, tidal flats, next door, frozen soil, etc. However, the steel used is large and is not suitable for strong corrosive foundations and rock foundations.

NO.3 Independent basis:

The most resistant to water load, resistant to flood and wind. The required amount of reinforced concrete is the largest, the amount of labor is large, the earthwork excavation and backfilling amount is large, the construction period is long, and the environmental damage is large. It is rarely used in solar projects.

NO.4 reinforced concrete strip foundation:

This type of foundation is mostly used for poor bearing capacity of the foundation. It is suitable for flat single-axis tracking where the site is relatively flat and the groundwater level is low. In the solar support.

NO.5 Precast pile foundation:

Prestressed concrete pipe pile with a diameter of about 300mm or square pile with a section size of about 200*200 is inserted into the soil, and the top plate or bolt is reserved at the top and the front and rear columns of the upper bracket are reserved. Connection, the depth is generally less than 3 meters, the construction is relatively simple and fast.

NO.6 Bored Pile Foundation:

The price is lower, but the requirements for the soil layer are higher. It is suitable for silty clay with a certain degree of compactness or silty clay with plasticity and hard plasticity. Among the loose sandy soil layers, the harder pebbles or gravel may have problems in that it is difficult to form holes.

NO.7 steel spiral pile foundation:

Use special machinery to screw it into the soil, the construction speed is fast, no need for site leveling, no concrete without concrete, maximum protection of the field vegetation, can adjust the height of the bracket with the terrain, spiral pile Can be used twice.

NO.8 Planar roof solar support base:

▲ cement weight method: pouring cement piers on the cement roof, this is a common installation method, the advantages are stable, does not damage the roof waterproof.

▲Precast cement counterweight: Compared with making cement piers, it saves time and saves cement embedded parts.
